How to care for your jewellery
All our products are made for a lifetime and to be enjoyed every day. Still some of our loyal customers do worry that if they wear their pieces too often—or even every day—then their CJ·314 jewellery will start to look less than its absolute best. enjoying the jewellery too much, like everyday, will have an impact on how long it will look perfectly presentable. But don't worry-we've got you covered.
All jewellery benefits from a little care and attention, and our pieces are no different. Follow our simple tips for caring for all your jewellery, but specifically your CJ314 porcelain and silver pieces.
The first step towards maintaining the just-bought look of your jewellery is proper everyday care:
1. Keep it clean. Wipe your piece of jewellery clean after each wearing. Special soft cloths are widely available that are intended specifically for cleaning jewellery. They are gentle and won't scratch the surface of your piece.
2. Wear with care. Avoid spraying perfume or any types of chemicals on it.
3. Keep it dry.
4. Store in a zip bag. A sealed zip bag will protect your jewellery from the atmosphere. Alternatively you can keep it in a storage solution with a soft surface, such as a velvet box or tray designed for jewellery.
Things to avoid:
Contact with water. Remove your jewellery before showering, sauna, swimming or dipping your fingers into salt water, like the ocean. The reason for this is that most of our items are constructed using strong jewellery glue. In the vast majority of cases, your CJ·314 jewellery can withstand even extreme conditions, but it's a good idea to take sensible precautions.
Connecting forcefully with hard surfaces. Porcelain is a very durable and resistant material. However, dropping a piece of jewellery can cause it significant damage, so always take care when handling it. This is the important one. Porcelain as a material is very durable and resistant, but the surfaces might not be. And of course, you want to protect your floors and surfaces too, so don't let our unicorns smash your marble tiles.

If your CJ·314 necklace, earrings or other item of jewellery has been visibly damaged, please do not try to repair it yourself. Get in contact with us and we will consider whether it can be repaired. We have the specialist equipment and materials that will be needed.
